Jaguar E-Type Series Two FHC, manual gearbox UK RHD car. Finished in Regency Red with Grey leather trim and Chrome wire wheels.
We are delighted to offer this 1970 Jaguar E-Type Series II 4.2 litre in Regency Red with grey leather interior. First registered in October 1970. The car comes with an extensive history including a heritage certificate, confirming it was originally supplied by Ashton Preston and that it retains its original colour combination. It appears clear that the car has led a cherished life, as it comes with a large file of invoices for maintenance and parts over the years. It is also pleasing to see recent advisory-free MOT certificates, despite the car being technically exempt.
Personally speaking I have always thought that the two-seat fixed head coupe E-Type, which is prettier than the 2+2 and rarer than the roadster, was the essence of Jaguar’s sleek sports car. This particular car looks stunning in its original Regency Red, with lovely chrome (restored in 2007) and well-presented wire wheels. There are some photographs in the file showing a glass out respray at some point. The interior is excellent and appears to have been treated to a re-trim with a dash free from any obvious damage and a tight headlining, complemented by a quality wooden-rimmed steering wheel, which finishes the cabin off nicely. Open up the charming side-hinged hatch and you will find a clean damage free luggage area. Slung underneath is a stainless steel exhaust system fitted in 2004 that should last the lifetime of the car.
