Sunbeam MKIII badged as Supreme registered 1955, finished in deep Maroon with Grey leather trim piped Maroon and complimented by Ochre carpets. This car has just come out of storage where it has been for over 4 years. The car belonged to an elderly enthusiast who left it to a good friend and neighbour, the friend parked the car in their garage and it never turned a wheel there after. I have given the car a clean and machine polish, got the sunroof working, fitted new carpets, freed of the rear brakes, fitted new spark plugs, plug caps and got the car running. I have driven the car on our private lane where it starts, stops and selects all gears normally, engine oil pressure sat at circa 55psi and the engine temp appeared normal. The engine starts on the button with no untoward noises or smoke and settles to a quiet smooth tick over. The chrome is excellent throughout and appears to have all been re-chromed, all the tyres look in very good condition and a stainless steel exhaust system is fitted. All the doors lock as does the boot and fuel cap, all windows wind up and down. The car is charging and the amp gauge works. It shows good oil pressure and the gauge is in working order, the engine temp gauge also works as does the speedo, the clock and fuel gauge however do not. All lights, wipers, panel lights, and the heater blower are working. The paint work has cleaned up well but does have some minor micro blistering in some areas. The doors, boot lid, bonnet and wings appear solid as does the chassis, the outer sills at the last 6 inches towards the rear need work. There is a full tool kit with the car, a full set of new hubcaps though it does not need them and a spare carburettor. The interior is in lovely order with nice leather, new carpets, good door cards and interior fittings, the head lining has one small easy area needing repair were moths have had their lunch, the sunroof works perfectly. This car needs more re-commissioning before being put back into use an easy light project for someone, If I had the time I would do the work and put the car up at £7,500 so grab a bargain while you can. Delivery possible.
