MGB Roadster V8, rubber bumper model first registered 24/02/1976. This is an older bare metal restoration and professional conversion to V8, with full photographic record. The car is quite exceptional and was fastidiously restored. There has been a catalogue of expensive and beautifully engineered conversions along with refurbishments. It was fully zinc treated and waxoyled at the time of the rebuild and has received waxoyl re treatment on an annual basis to the mid 2000. The body restoration included new doors, wings, inner wings, complete sills, floors etc etc. The Harvest Gold coachwork still maintains a nice fresh appearance and is testament to the quality of the rebuild. Paint work and panel fit are both superb. Fitted with a Rover LT77 rebuilt 5 speed manual gearbox, bespoke prop-shaft and high ratio MGB GT V8 rear axle, all coupled to the 205 BHP producing Rover SDI 3.5 V8 rebuilt engine, fitted with a Piper ‘Hurricane’ camshaft, Holley 4 barrel carburettor and Offenhauser 360 degree inlet manifold. To ease breathing 4 branch tubular manifolds are fitted along with a big bore sports exhaust system which makes the car sound more TVR than MG ! Handling is taken care of with a Ron Hopkins front & rear handling kit and telescopic shock absorbers all round. New Minilite alloys finished in Anthracite with diamond cut rims and new chrome wheel nuts just fitted. Comes with a huge history file and full photographic record detailing all works along with past MOT certificates dating back to 1983. It will be hard to find a V8 roadster conversion so well executed as this car. The car has a current MOT to February 2022.
